FAQ
What is thrifting?
Great question! Thrifting is when you go shopping for clothing that's been previously owned. There are thrift stores, consignment shops, and flea markets where you can find some great pieces of clothing that is preloved.
Thrift Stores vs. Consignment Stores. What's the difference?
Thrift stores such as Value Village, Salvation Army Thrift Store, and other local thrift stores are where people donate their items and the thrift store will sort through everything to resell it and give it a new home. Items at the thrift store are really cheap, but you never know what you'll find. Also, most thrift stores donate some of their proceeds to a greater cause, for example, the Salvation Army gives money to people who need some extra assistance.
A consignment store plays "the middle man" of shopping for preloved items. The owner of the clothes will sell their clothes to the store in exchange for a percentage of money or store credit. Depending on the consignment store, they are all set up a little differently. At consignment stores, the prices are a little higher, but you can expect to find designer names for a really good price.
If any of this was confusing, we have a blog coming out describing the difference in more detail! :)

Why the name "re:form"?
After a brainstorming session, we narrowed it down to our top four names and out of that re:form really stood out. "Reform" means to make changes in something. We want to change the way we thinking about shopping and inspire other individuals to rethink fast fashion consumption.
